With a group of 4, we went to Central park, and wanted to eat real performance of teppanyaki chef. One thing cross my mind is Tatsuya Restaurant. The restaurant itself is one group with penang bistro, Hongkong cafe, delika, sari baginda, seribu rasa, miyagi and lahoya. This definitely be good. The place itself have a Japanese-modern feel, divided into 2 sections. 1 section is the bar (I called it myself) for watching the chef cook in front of you and other section is reguler table. When I came in, the restaurant was empty, so I sat on one of the bar section and could watch the chef cooked in front of me. I ordered 2 set, which is Fuji and Umi. They both have salmon, prawn, miso, fried rice, vegetable and tofu. The difference is only some of their protein. Fuji (means hill/mountain) have chicken with teriyaki sauce. Umi (means sea) have cuttlefish and scallop. While grilling, the chef used the same spices, oil, teppanyaki sauce and butter. It's simple, but you can find rich of flavour in it. They use teriyaki sauce for salmon and chicken. I loved scallop! So this is my favourite one here! One thing special when you are in front of the chef! They'll ask your opinion. When the chef cooked the fried rice, he let me taste first. And I thought it need more salt, so he added another salt and butter. And completely fulfill my taste! This fried rice can come first and last. I chose to make it first. Address
