I know this restaurant from a friend. When I heard from my friend, I asked him to repeat like 3 times. lols.. unique name.. It was a branch restaurant from the famous Potato Head, Bali, so I expect a lot from this restaurant. I guess, it's an old house renovate to a cozy restaurant, which suitable with their concept and food. First come in, there are a lot foreigner come and enjoy their food with a bottle of wine. hm... fancy.. I opened the menu and find them quite expensive, the price range from 100k to 200k. Each portion is like for 2 persons. So i kept wondering is it worth it? It turn out really worth it!!! Me and my friends picked their sate sapi wagyu maranggi as the our favourite this or the dish of the day. A must try wagyu beef satay marianted with ginger, garlic, galangal and pepper.

I always excited to try this restaurant since it's first opening. It's not that i didn't try to eat here. I already call 2 times and came in persons 2 times, but it's all full booked. Then i forget til recently my mom asked about this authentic fine dining indonesian restaurant. Even though all the food is great with fresh ingredients, but for me the very must try is their tahu telor. This deep fry omelette tofu with cabbages, carrots and bean sprouts, served with soya sauce and mixed black shrimp paste is the dish of the day! ps. ask the servants about their recommended food. They're very helpful ^^ and also tried you to choose the most expensive dish. lol
I went to Sushi Masa in a group of 8, full with my high school friends. For the location, it's very far and confusing, you need to go across market and port to reach this place. Me and my friends like.. what the h*ll with this location. I've already afraid one of my friends will send me far away from this city. Lols.. kidding.. Despite the long way that we need to travel, the building itself quite modern. Located in the third floor of the building, nice interior and very crowded.. I suggest to book before you come, especially on weekend. FYI they do have a lot of menus. 6 of My friends ordered first, left me and one of them. The first ordered come okay, and the second order come like hell.. i asked the waiters for 5 times and waited for 1 1/4 hour for them to realize they haven't put my order in the list...
Halloween come so soon at Take A Bite with a wonderful concept of Harry Potter Theme!! Full package with their wand and cloak, not forget to mention their 9 3/4 platform. I got amazed with their suppa decoration, in Indonesia we call it 'dekornya super niat'. In the other hand, I completely shocked when I first saw their menu! Well you know they do have their new drink list with 'Harry potter Theme'.. but I imagine something more like western food here, not Indonesian food like Martabak or Indomie.
It's one of Michelin Star Restaurant in Indonesia. They've already opened 5 stores in Jakarta, and the last one just recently opened in Neo Soho. But before they opened the last store, I tried the one in PIK Avenue. It was crowded! But lucky me there's one table ready for me and my family. I came in group of 3 adults and 1 toddlers. The service I can say it's not good, too slow even though I only asked for menu book I need to ask 3 times until I gave up and took it by myself. Well.. they can be forgiven by the food, cause all the food I ordered really deserved five star dishes!!
I lived in Beijing for 1 year and when it was time to come back to Indonesia, I always miss Beijing street food. Like jianbing, shao kao, ma la tang, ma la xiang guo, kao leng mian, etc. When I first came back to Indonesia, Beijing food wasn't as popular as it is right now. But suddenly I heard shao kao opened and after that jian bing and last -at this moment- is ma la tang. Got very disappointed every time cause the taste is very different with the original one in Beijing. Still.. not lost hope for finding the same taste like it's origin. So, this was the first time I tried another Beijing street food that recently opened in Neo Soho, Ma La Tang.
When I look through f*ve, a web which sell a lot of discount coupons, i'm willing to try this restaurant. The review said it's cheap and the taste is quite good, in addition it's nearby my area. So, I bought a coupon for two persons, me and my husband. From outside, this restaurant is quite small, and it's hard to park a car.. knowing that, we decided to rode a motorcycle there. Inside, well there's a cute wall painting inside. No ac, just fan and even though it's in a building, they made it open...
There are a new store in Central Park on August 2018. I heard it's their 2nd store in Jakarta, they first opened their store in Senayan City. When I first came in, they have all of their cake in showcase and it do look like a rainbow heaven on earth!! It's so beautiful.. so colorful and I want to pick them all!! They put the sign 'directly imported from Japan'. When I heard about it, I'm thinking about fluffy soft cake with colorful fruits on top and they did meet my expectation.
It's already a long time since I came to this restaurant and when I close by, I made a time to came back to this restaurant once again. Their interior is wonderful. I loved their industrial concept with bricks, cement floor, and very unique sewing machine table. They have a lot of menu, like noodles, fried rice, long john bread, grilled banana, toast, martabak, and their famous kue cubit! They also served coffee, tea, and a lot of cold drinks. Judging from their menu and the interior here, it's a place to hang out with friends.
This restaurant has been a blast since they opened. I heard it was cheap version of f*sh&co and the taste is also similar. So I'm so excited to try it. But when it first opened, it was so full and I had to wait for another hour. I can't handle it very well and move to another restaurant. So, in another year after it open, they expand the restaurant and I came early for brunch.. I got table in advance..
