I know this restaurant from a friend. When I heard from my friend, I asked him to repeat like 3 times. lols.. unique name.. It was a branch restaurant from the famous Potato Head, Bali, so I expect a lot from this restaurant. I guess, it's an old house renovate to a cozy restaurant, which suitable with their concept and food. First come in, there are a lot foreigner come and enjoy their food with a bottle of wine. hm... fancy.. I opened the menu and find them quite expensive, the price range from 100k to 200k. Each portion is like for 2 persons. So i kept wondering is it worth it? It turn out really worth it!!! Me and my friends picked their sate sapi wagyu maranggi as the our favourite this or the dish of the day. A must try wagyu beef satay marianted with ginger, garlic, galangal and pepper.

I always excited to try this restaurant since it's first opening. It's not that i didn't try to eat here. I already call 2 times and came in persons 2 times, but it's all full booked. Then i forget til recently my mom asked about this authentic fine dining indonesian restaurant. Even though all the food is great with fresh ingredients, but for me the very must try is their tahu telor. This deep fry omelette tofu with cabbages, carrots and bean sprouts, served with soya sauce and mixed black shrimp paste is the dish of the day! ps. ask the servants about their recommended food. They're very helpful ^^ and also tried you to choose the most expensive dish. lol
Halloween come so soon at Take A Bite with a wonderful concept of Harry Potter Theme!! Full package with their wand and cloak, not forget to mention their 9 3/4 platform. I got amazed with their suppa decoration, in Indonesia we call it 'dekornya super niat'. In the other hand, I completely shocked when I first saw their menu! Well you know they do have their new drink list with 'Harry potter Theme'.. but I imagine something more like western food here, not Indonesian food like Martabak or Indomie.
I went to Malang for Chinese New Year Trip with my husband, my parents-in-laws, and one of my husband's uncle. With a group of 5 including me, we went travel for 3 days in Malang, before continuing in Surabaya for one day. I already post all my journey in my ig story @jessappetite. But to make it more dramatic i'm gonna post again my culinary journey here as I spend a very enjoyable and relaxing journey in Malang.
Ayam gallo and Kopi Lugu is a hidden gem near Binus University. A place where you can enjoy a sip of coffee and grab an Indonesian food with affordable price. It's also a perfect place for college student near that place. The place is very cozy and spacious with geometric scandinavian theme interior and yellow is their color.
When i heard about this restaurant, I immediately think about Plataran Dharmawangsa. A famous Indonesian Restaurant, located in Dharmawangsa, which located very far from my place. So when it first open in Menteng, I'm very excited to try it even though I heard they have different concept and food. I came here with my family and at that time, they assumed I was pregnant and made me finished all the left over. hm.. family.. they made me confused by always asking 'are you pregnant yet?' and it's just a month since I got married. Well.. realize or not, everyone including me will ask the same questions to married couple. I think it's already become one of Indonesian habits. It's annoying if you are planning to have kids but God still think you're not ready yet.
It's been a month!!! since I post my latest blog. Once again, it's all because my wedding day has arrived. you wouldn't know how hectic it would be before you experience it by yourself.. that was what my cousins tried to say and yes it's true. I'm gonna post about it later after I got the picture so.. move on to this beautiful restaurant. This is my third time eating this restaurant, the first and second one I ate it at their other branch in Bintaro. So it's the first time I ate Talaga Sampireun at their branch in Puri.
It's been more than a month since I and my boy celebrate my boy's birthday at Harum Manis Restaurant, a beautiful fine dining Indonesian Restaurant. Famous for its 1 meter Indonesian Satay. And why I post it so late? cause my wedding is coming to town, so I only have a few minutes for myself. Working and wedding come across and ruin my me-time. When I came, it's weekday and full with Japanese people. I was thinking that I came to the wrong place, is it really Indonesian restaurant? or it's Japanese restaurant?? Lols. After I tried their food, no wonder foreigners love this restaurant. Very nice interior, traditional live music and of course fantastic food! I absolutely in love with their food! It's restaurant that can fulfill your 5 senses.
This is the second time I went there, and my stomach was already full that time, but I recommend their Durian Creme Brulee which I tried at the first time I went to Harum Manis It's been a month!! since my last update!! Am I gettin to lazy? well because it's such a crazy month I've been through. Overload with work and wedding and the results? Sick.. Lack of sleep for 1 months and after one day full of stress and cry a lot.. I completely sick and need a rest. I wonder where my health and strong body went. I remember how health I was after a completely lack of sleep for 2 weeks because of test. Anyway, after a extremely exhausting month, I recommend a place to chill at The Breeze BSD City.
It's really near from my house and everyone talking about it. I never had a chance to try this authentic fine dining Indonesian food. They most known of their unique herbs and authentic recipes. They get their name from 'Aroma (smell)' and 'manis (sweet)', which means a cuisine’s fragrance. Indonesia’s cuisines is a must try for culinary aromatherapy. As they said in their website. lols.
