I know this restaurant from a friend. When I heard from my friend, I asked him to repeat like 3 times. lols.. unique name.. It was a branch restaurant from the famous Potato Head, Bali, so I expect a lot from this restaurant. I guess, it's an old house renovate to a cozy restaurant, which suitable with their concept and food. First come in, there are a lot foreigner come and enjoy their food with a bottle of wine. hm... fancy.. I opened the menu and find them quite expensive, the price range from 100k to 200k. Each portion is like for 2 persons. So i kept wondering is it worth it? It turn out really worth it!!! Me and my friends picked their sate sapi wagyu maranggi as the our favourite this or the dish of the day. A must try wagyu beef satay marianted with ginger, garlic, galangal and pepper.

I always excited to try this restaurant since it's first opening. It's not that i didn't try to eat here. I already call 2 times and came in persons 2 times, but it's all full booked. Then i forget til recently my mom asked about this authentic fine dining indonesian restaurant. Even though all the food is great with fresh ingredients, but for me the very must try is their tahu telor. This deep fry omelette tofu with cabbages, carrots and bean sprouts, served with soya sauce and mixed black shrimp paste is the dish of the day! ps. ask the servants about their recommended food. They're very helpful ^^ and also tried you to choose the most expensive dish. lol
Eid Mubarak is the time for family bonding! It's once in a year when all the family has holiday for more than 1 weeks. Usually one or two of the family members go to a trip, but this year the whole family stay at home. So, we decided to have a dinner buffet together. It's a luck when I heard that one of the Mandarin Hotel Restaurant which is a western type, have a buffet only in Eid Mubarak month. There're not much variation but they use high quality ingredients. My family favourite is their striploin steak and their coffee. I, myself love their cheese and desserts sections.
Hi! it's been a few months after my late post and I'm proudly announce my pregnancy. I'm 15 weeks pregnant! I waited for 4 months after my marriage to succeed. It's a short time for some people, but for me, i waited long enough to have my own child, so I'm so excited about this!! It's not an easy journey for me, I felt sick and vomit every single day, not to mention for the first two months I couldn't eat much. But I feel a lot better now. At that time, my mom asked me to join her for a lunch at Mise. Located near to my Mom's house (I've already moved to another part of Jakarta after marriage). It's a wonderful place with a delicate taste.
When i heard about this restaurant, I immediately think about Plataran Dharmawangsa. A famous Indonesian Restaurant, located in Dharmawangsa, which located very far from my place. So when it first open in Menteng, I'm very excited to try it even though I heard they have different concept and food. I came here with my family and at that time, they assumed I was pregnant and made me finished all the left over. hm.. family.. they made me confused by always asking 'are you pregnant yet?' and it's just a month since I got married. Well.. realize or not, everyone including me will ask the same questions to married couple. I think it's already become one of Indonesian habits. It's annoying if you are planning to have kids but God still think you're not ready yet.
First post on 2018!! Happy new year guyss!! How's you all doin? It's gettin hectic in Jakarta, seems all people have already finished their holiday and come to the work mood. Anyway, it's been a month since I got married at 3 Des 2017, and everybody keep asking me questions like, how's the life after married? or preganant already? Well.. first thing first, sadly I'm not pregnant yet. I used to think being pregnant is an easy task. Maybe because of the influence of TV show, you know.. one rape and pregnant. Now I know why tv show is called tv show.. lols.. And how's the life after married? Hm.. for my husband (yess he is my husband now!!), he stay alone in Jakarta for around 4years (maybe) so he use to it. It do make me happy when he admit he was lonely and suddenly I come home. For me? I haven't noticed any different except my apartment is farther then it used to be, and I need to clean the house by myself. I never know how lucky I am before to have all things done for me.
It's really near from my house and everyone talking about it. I never had a chance to try this authentic fine dining Indonesian food. They most known of their unique herbs and authentic recipes. They get their name from 'Aroma (smell)' and 'manis (sweet)', which means a cuisine’s fragrance. Indonesia’s cuisines is a must try for culinary aromatherapy. As they said in their website. lols.
Welcoming the era of Manadonese food in Jakarta! I don't know when exactly the time. But before I realize, you can find Manadonese food in every foodcourt in J-town. To respect them, I will say all the menu in Bahasa *it's an excuse coz I think it's gonna be weird to translate them to English*. Anyway Manadonese food usually very spicy.
Throwback to my lovely valentine lunch. My boy took me to Maple & Oak. I've seen this restaurant almost everyday, cause it is located along my way from home to office. And I'm really excited to try it. Since their facade and their name is very attractive to me.
And i keep thinking why I like food so much. While other people eat food for living, I'm the one of living for food type. I went to Do An, a vietnamese restaurant, and went crazy about it. I went with a group of 3, full girls and kept ordering the food. Seems like the servant got confused with us but who cares anyway.
