Thinking about what am I doing right now.. flashback to Indonesian Independence Day at 17th August 2017. They do have a lot of discount, but completely ignore them until I went to Grandma's Suki at Pantai Indah Kapuk. Why? Because they have 45% discount for set menu! After you guys post a photo with you yourself eating their menu in Instagram. Sorry to say, but I don't think their promo still available until now. Their interior is combination from traditional chinese with a little twist of modern. Traditional and modern in one place? hem... Their creative idea which I love the most is about their sauce. They serve 16 different ingredients not including salt and pepper, such as Suki sauce, Gomi sauce, peanut sauce, chili oil, blackpepper sauce, mushroom sauce, green chili sauce, fermented bean curd sauce, chili, garlic, fried garlic, corriander leaf, leek, sesame oil, soy sauce. Forgive me if something left behind. And they also give their recommended sauce hanging on the wall. I chose their mushroom and peanut combination without corriander leaf. I'm not that into corriander leaf. Speaking about dislike, not everyone like peanut sauce, consider my family and my boy said it has wierd taste. But once I ever stayed in Beijing for 1 year, they serve suki with peanut sauce and I kindda like it. Not much Suki restaurant serve peanut sauce, so this is also one reason why I'm gonna come back to this restaurant. Anyway, the point is, They make the light taste for all their sauce, so there's no strong taste, which is good because you want to mix and match the sauce. their lomie came first. Hokkian noodle with mushroom, shrimp, chinese cabbage, bokchoy, meatball and eggs with gravy sauce and fried garlic on top. I fell like their mushroom a little smelly and hard. In the other hand, their shrimp taste a little sweet, nice... I loved their smooth noodle. Taste overall a little plain. But no worries since they have many sauce. So I add soy sauce and sesame oil for better taste. This is what I get for Set Menu B Pork. A bowl full with chinese cabbage, bokchoy, dumplings, corns, carrots, tomatoes, fish tofu (tofu with fish on top), tofu, mushrooms, and 4 types of meatballs, which is corn balls, chicken mushroom balls, beef and last shrimp balls. I felt amazed with the large wodden ball I got. But my eyes turn to the sliced pork and also one unique fish glue on a half bamboo shape black tray. This is what actually I loved to try. Their fish glue.. Served in half bamboo black tray and with a black spoon. So I will do the trick by myself, or with the help from the servant. Cut.. cut.. cut... well taste like ordinary fish ball but much more stickier. In Grandma Suki, there are 4 types of soup that we can have. Grandma's special, original, tom yum and shark bone. I choose tom yum at the first time and when they said I can choose 2 different soup, I choose their Grandma's special, which I regret it after it arrived. It's not that the taste weird or anything.. it's just not my taste. Have you guys heard about 'Tim Ayam Obat', full with Chinese Herbs, like red dates, and smells like one. That's definetly the taste! So, I better stick up with their tom yum. A little sour but still good. Address
